THE NEXT STEP: Sye Lynch’s Hiring of Heath Moyle is a Key Addition Ahead of Year Two with High Limit

MOORESVILLE, NC. (February 25, 2026) – Similar to the other three first-time touring teams last year, Sye Lynch didn’t know exactly what he’d be facing as a full-timer with Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing. With countless lessons learned and one especially important off-season acquisition made in the hiring of Heath Moyle, the Apollo, Pennsylvania native is more prepared than ever to take the next step in 2026.

“There were so many lessons we took away last year,” Lynch said looking back. “First off, there is so much uncertainty when you become a national touring team. It’s not easy, man. It tests every bit of you mentally, physically, emotionally, logistically, economically, and everything in between. You might think you have the assets built up, but it’s a whole different dynamic when you’re out on the road. We’ve been able to really reflect over the off-season and I think we have a better structure as far as what to expect.”

The most notable change to the Mosites-Lynch Racing No. 42 team is the addition of veteran crew chief Heath Moyle. A fellow Pennsylvania native, Moyle joined forces with Sye following several successful years with another High Roller in Brent Marks - a tenure that resulted in a Kings Royal crown, a Historical Big One title, and multiple Williams Grove National Open wins. Before that, he spent time with notable organizations such as Kasey Kahne Racing, CJB Motorsports, and Kyle Larson Racing.

“I’ve said it all off-season, picking up Heath has already been a huge addition to our team,” Lynch said on his hire. “Grabbing someone that has years and years of experience with multiple national touring teams is big. He’s a guy who knows what it takes and how to get it done. On top of now being more experienced ourselves, getting him only compounds our progress I think. We’re in an exciting position right now.”

Alongside Moyle in his role as crew chief, Kinzer Dussel and Chad Hill return to the team as two of the most upbeat and outgoing crew members in the pit area. That team morale is something that Lynch has taken more notice of.

“I’ve realized in my short time running a team that chemistry and communication are everything,” he mentioned. “As life goes on and things change, people come and go, it’s all part of the sport, but holding on to something great when you have it is so important. I think whenever you build a group with great chemistry and we all get along and can communicate with each other, it can lead to a really good outcome.”

Speaking of good outcomes, Lynch saw plenty last year on his way to running ninth in the High Limit driver standings and finishing second in the Rayce Rudeen Foundation Rookie of the Year battle to Daison Pursley. The 28-year-old earned the Musco Lighting Most Improved Driver Award and has high expectations moving forward.

“Our main focus is finishing top-eight in points,” he said looking ahead. “We want to get into the High Roller Club over the next two seasons, and earning our membership card starts there. I think we put ourselves in good positions last year, but stuff that was simply out of our control hindered us. I don’t think the numbers did us any justice, but we showed tons of potential and speed I think.”

While he still chases that first-career national tour win, Lynch has shown promise at different venues all across the country. From podiums close to home at Lenerville to leading laps at Lucas Oil to running top-10 at the Gold Cup in California, his ability to adapt certainly improved in 2025.

“I always felt like I was a pretty good half-mile or big track racer, but I was really pleased with how comfortable I was during my first trip to the west coast last year,” he said looking at the schedule. “The west coast is no joke, it’s a really tough place for an outside team to come in and perform at so many different unique tracks. Being a national touring team you have to be super versatile and unload with speed immediately no matter where you are.”

The Mosites-Lynch Racing No. 42 is one of five teams (Dutcher, Randall, Vermeer, Randerson) currently committed to battling for the ‘Joker Fund’ this year, and more importantly, chasing High Roller Club membership which can be obtainted via a top-three points finish in 2026 or 2027, or a top-eight points finish in both years.

Sye’s 2026 Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing season officially opens with the SugarBee Blackjack Bash at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 12-14 during NASCAR weekend.
