GROWING PAINS: Chase Randall Hopes Freshman Lessons Turn into Sophomore Success with High Limit
MOORESVILLE, NC. (February 25, 2026) – It’s no secret that the jump to competing full-time on a national tour is ten times harder than freely popping in and out of competition at will. That was a challenge that Chase Randall faced head on for the first time last year and while they took the hits, “The Quickest Chicken” knows they’re better from it.
Take for example that prior to battling for the Rayce Rudeen Foundation Rookie of the Year Award last season, the Waco, Texas native had a handful of his career-best performances as a true outlaw in 2023-24. Nights that stick out include nearly winning the Tuscarora 50 at Port Royal (finished 2nd to Brian Brown), almost beating the World of Outlaws at Huset’s (finished 2nd to Carson Macedo), and coming close to High Limit glory at I-70 (finished 3rd to Corey Day & Brad Sweet) - all races that he led laps in.
Moving his family-owned operation to Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing for 50+ nights in 2025, the 21-year-old encountered growing pains while learning valuable lessons that will undoubtedly pay dividends in the long run. On his way to a 10th-place result in the driver standings, Randall clicked off top-fives at Texas, Lucas Oil, Eldora and Lakeside, while also claiming other top-10 finishes at Tulare, Tri-City, Red Cedar, Lucas Oil, Lawrenceburg, and Eldora.
“The main expectations for me are for us to put everything we learned last year into our program this year and grow from it,” Randall said. “We ended the year on a strong note, so I feel like we can carry that momentum into the start of a new season. I’m excited for the people and the partners involved in our program.”
Evidence of that strong finish is Randall’s final weekend of 2025 when he went to The Dirt Track at Charlotte and rattled off runs of fourth (behind David Gravel, Rico Abreu, and Dony Schatz) and sixth against the World of Outlaws.
“I think the biggest thing this year is that now we know what to expect and we’re better prepared for the overall lifestyle of what it’s like on the road full-time,” he added. “We have a better understanding of how to attack new tracks and what it takes to compete for a championship night in and night out.”
Already an improvement in 2026, Randall will face significantly less new tracks, shrinking that number from 15 last year to only eight now - Arrowhead, Big Sky, Dacotah, Gondik Law, I-94, Santa Maria, Shelby County, and Stateline being first-time facilities.
One of three Texas-born High Rollers, he’ll have five race nights in front of “Lone Star State” fans this year. Along with four shows at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track (April 30, May 2, October 16-17), the series will also debut at Amarillo’s Route 66 Motor Speedway on March 27.
The Chase Randall Racing No. 9 is one of five teams (Dutcher, Lynch, Vermeer, Randerson) currently committed to battling for the ‘Joker Fund’ this year, and more importantly, chasing High Roller Club membership which can be obtainted via a top-three points finish in 2026 or 2027, or a top-eight points finish in both years.
Randall’s 2026 Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing season officially opens with the SugarBee Blackjack Bash at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 12-14 during NASCAR weekend. The 65-race tour will criss-cross the country for eight months before concluding with the All-In Championship Weekend at Texas Motor Speedway on October 16-17.
