Tanner Holmes Goes Full-Time with Kubota High Limit Racing; Joins Buch Motorsports in 2026

Jacksonville, Ore. (October 29, 2025) – The first Rayce Rudeen Foundation Rookie of the Year contender for 2026 is officially confirmed, and his addition only brings more star power to the Kubota High Limit Racing lineup.

Following Daison Pursely’s departure from the Avanti Windows & Doors, Pella No. 13 – to drive the Kasey Kahne Racing, NAPA Auto Parts No. 49 – car owner Tom Buch and crew chief Sean Strausbaugh have been searching for the next best thing to bring to their team in 2026. On Wednesday, they announced their answer with 21-year-old native of Jacksonville, Oregon, Tanner Holmes, taking the ride.

For Holmes, this opportunity fulfills a lifelong dream of becoming a full-time national touring Sprint Car driver. For more than a decade, he has built one of the biggest followings in dirt track racing through his social media presence and is more ready than ever to take it on the road with Kubota High Limit Racing in 2026.

For Buch Motorsports, Holmes follows in the footsteps of Justin Peck and Daison Pursley, both excellent products that the No. 13 team has helped groom into budding stars. A victory for Holmes next year would make Tom Buch the only owner to ever supply three different drivers with a win with Kubota High Limit Racing.

Rising from the Outlaw Kart ranks, Holmes’ career blossomed from Red Bluff, California and then up and down the west coast as he climbs into sprint cars. His big break came in 2023 when he substituted in the Shark Racing No. 1T with the World of Outlaws, earning a trio of top-five finishes. Most recently, he split time between his family-owned No. 18T and the Tarlton Racing No. 21. This year, he won the Silver Cup at Silver Dollar Speedway and the Trophy Cup finale at Thunderbowl Raceway.

The new pairing will begin the 2026 Kubota High Limit Racing championship chase in March when the series begins year three as a national touring sprint car series with stops out west at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Central Arizona Raceway.
