Ricky Warner Adds Another Cometic Gasket Crew Chief of the Month Award with Rico Abreu's #24

Heading down the homestretch, Ricky Warner and the Rico Abreu Racing #24 team continue to perform with the pressure at its highest.

In the midst of a fierce championship battle with Kubota High Limit Racing, Warner picked up another Cometic Gasket Crew Chief of the Month Award during the 10-race slate in September. It's his third $500 monthly bonus this season and puts him one behind Eric Prutzman for the most since the award was introduced last year.

Across trips to Port Royal, Lernerville, Lawrenceburg, Eldora, Bridgeport & Path Valley, the Rico Abreu Racing #24 won twice and only finished outside the top-10 twice - averaging a 5.2 finish.

That success sends Abreu into the last month of the season with a 52-point advantage over Brad Sweet in the Driver Championship - which would be his first national sprint car title - and a 34-point lead over Ridge & Sons Racing in the Owner Championship - a title paying $250,000-to-win.

The Cometic Gasket Crew Chief of the Month standings reset for the final time with five races to be run in October as the Kubota High Limit Racing season winds down. The closing stretch will take teams to Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kans. on Friday & Saturday, October 10-11, Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo. on Wednesday, October 15, and Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Tex. on Friday & Saturday, October 17-18.
