Derek DeMartino, 33, got his start in racing at just 8 years old, running karts before moving up to stock cars at 11. By the age of 13, he was already behind the wheel of Winged Sprint Cars, where he's been competing ever since.

Off the track, Derek graduated from New Mexico State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, as well as a second degree in Mechanical Engineering Drafting and Solid Modeling, and a minor in Manufacturing Engineering.

Derek DeMartino is the pro race car driver of the 97 Orange Blossom Special POWRI 305 Winged Sprint Car, POWRI / ASCS 360 Winged Sprint Car, and 410 Winged Sprint Car. Derek has over 200+ career wins in multiple classes, to include a recent HAT TRICK in 2025 with 3 back-to-back Main Event victories in his 305 Winged Sprint Car.
